€17,000 Raised for Skerries Youth Support Services with 24 hours static cycle.

With donations continuing SYSS were delighted to announce that the grand total raised over the weekend is over €17,000!

As a member of Balbriggan Gospel Choir I was delighted they were asked to perform at the opening of the event on saturday afternoon. I am delighted JP took me up on my suggestion they ask the group to be part of the proceedings.

The committee of Skerries Youth Support Services thanked all of the participants, volunteers, performers and supports of the recent 24 hour static cycle fundraiser in Floraville. A special mention of praise goes to Jackie, Mick, David, Ollie and Rob who successfully completed the full 24 hours. An amazing achievement!

There was gratitude also for Nicky McDonagh and Skerries Rugby Club for raising an incredible €2,145 from their 'Gift of Life' tablequiz and raffle.

All of these funds will be used in the continued provision of a free and confidential youth counselling service, for the young people of North Fingal. As the counselling service is funded by Skerries Youth Support Services and the North Dublin Regional Drug and Alcohol Task Force at no cost to the service user.
